West Cliff house gets a makeover

The only house on the ocean side of West Cliff Drive, a Cape Cod style home built in 1940, is raised during a total remodel. Third generation Santa Cruzan Jeff Putney is partnering with local builder Howerton Construction to complete the first major remodel of the 2,400-square-foot home and its 800-square-foot cottage. Putney says that the project will not increase the buildings’ footprints and will keep the Cape Cod theme. A slate roof is being added as is new siding and a new modernized interior.
